UMUSIC AUTUMN
D&AD New Blood Awards, Visual Identity, 2024
A visual identity for Universal Music UK’s annual staff festival. The design centres around a custom mirrorball typeface built from reflective tile forms, symbolising the individuality of each employee. The identity spans posters, invitations, wristbands, and a bespoke AR filter, placing the viewer at the heart of all event-related visuals. The result is a staff-focused brand system designed to celebrate and reflect the people behind the music.

Sounds Like This
International Society of Typographic Designers, Editorial Design, 2025
Sounds Like This is a generative typographic project visualising moments of structural change within a piece of music. Using custom-built code, each track is analysed to detect the greatest point of contrast — the song’s milestone moment. This moment, along with the minute surrounding it, is then visualised through the letterforms that make up the input track’s title, triggered by bass, mid, and treble frequencies. Every visual is then paired with a personal reflection on how the song soundtracks a specific moment in my life.
LIAF Awards
London International Animation Festival, Product Design, 2024
An award designed to reflect motion in a static object. A corrugated acrylic face distorts the appearance of the festival’s logo based on the viewer’s position, while the patinated steel casing references the festival’s spectrum of colour identity. The form turns a static object into a shifting visual experience.
SWS Library Mural
University of Greenwich, Mural Design, 2025
A large-scale mural that commemorates the past, present and future of the University of Greenwich. Created with a cyanotype-inspired aesthetic, the piece blends archival imagery, contemporary student life and architectural landmarks into a layered visual narrative. Installed at the entrance to the library, it aims to root the university’s identity within the everyday experience of the Stockwell Street Library.
Eastwards Unbound
In collaboration with Ahvakand, Letterpress Printing, 2023
A collaboratively produced publication created during
a one-week letterpress residency on the Åland Islands, Finland. Exploring traditional printing methods, each spread reflects the island’s influence on language, form, and the collaborative process, making this publication both a typographic artefact and record of place.

Louis Dawn
I don’t want to be the next anyone; I want to be the first me. My work is, therefore, like neat whiskey — no ice, no mixer. It’s authentic, and more than anything, it asks me who I am. That gives me something to prove, something to fight for, and a reason to keep learning, improving, and never settle for anything less than the best I can give.
